The Journey

Welcome to D. L. R. PARFUMS. I'm Ronald L. Corbitt II, the CEO, and President. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. As a young man, I used to buy a variety of colognes because I loved smelling good. I knew then that one day I wanted to create my own signature scent and make my own brand for all to enjoy.

In 2011, I wanted to start my own fragrance company and decided to call it Ronald Dlanor. The name Dlanor is Ronald backward. I was pronouncing Dlanor as "Dalor." It wasn't until I met my wife, Juanamarie, in 2016 and married her in 2019 that she realized Dalor was the incorrect pronunciation for Dlanor. We didn't like the pronunciation of Dlanor so we decided to use some of the letters to create the name of our brand. We came up with D. L. R. which stands for Distinctive Luxurious Rich. These are all the key qualities that make our fragrance brand exclusive and set us apart from others.

In 2019, I also decided to start making wax colognes at home. Then, I transitioned into mixing fragrance oils and essential oils while bottling them for my own personal cologne collection. After that, my wife and I decided to take our ideas to a new level by outsourcing and working with a top fragrance company and their Master Perfumer. The collaboration and vision with the Master Perfumer, my wife and I make our perfume brand unique; exactly how it’s meant to be. That's how the tagline came about: "If it's meant to be, let it TM.", Distinctive Luxurious Rich.
